  6. this has been bothering me for a while so i am finally going to say something.

it is 100% completely illegal and unsafe to travel in the trailer while the vehicle is in motion, since it is a fifth wheel there are no seat belts as it was not designed to be used this way. If you get in an accident, (and we are not immune to them) You WILL be seriously injured by being flung around the camper and things being flung at you), there is no if ands or buts about it if you get into an accident. You need to travel with a second vehicle or find one that will accommodate your entire family. I don't want to hear on the news that a family was killed for riding unsafely. I'm not being a bully or being mean, I am being honest. If you need help please go to car-seat.org for advice

I appriciate you sharing your concern for our family. Despite what most people think, traveling in a fifth wheel is 100% legal in our home state and many others. There are additional safety steps you can take, which we've done most, such as adding safety film to the windows, safety door latchs, specific pulling hitch and adding passenger rated axles. Not to mention using common sense in securing "things" down and what you are doing while moving.
As with anyone out on the road, we are all taking a risk and there is always a chance we'll be in an accident. We do take safety seriously and try to make the wisest choices we can while out on the road. As the driver my husband has a very important job and I am so thankful he has years of experience driving all sorts of big trucks and machines.
Not all rv drivers can say that unfortunately. I wish it required a special license because its a big job that not everyone can do safely.
Hope this helps you and others understand a little better.
