It's wax.
Wax from a candle.
Wax from a candle that Ozzie poured down the kitchen sink.
sigh.

  1. HAHAHA, I have 3 stepsons and was amazed at the insanely weird and destructive things they do. I would often ask WHY? I would just a stare back...

  2. Oh no!  My boy stuffed kleenex down the drain when he was about that age....then ran water so he could stuff more down.....or very  kind and gracious landlord came and took care of the plumbing issues....and said, "Boys will be boys".....he said the same thing when they broke a window with a ball....I loved that man! (He put up with us for 4 years)
I guess my 3 year old grandson's antics today are pretty minor....  www.thesecondtwinsews.blogspot.com

Ha! Yeah... I have a candle in the kitchen that I usually keep lit because I am in and out of there so much. We all went out to the garden and I blew the candle out as we left. Ozzie went back inside to get water and saw the candle with the melted wax sitting on top and thought it should be dumped out. sigh. He came out and said "I cleaned out your candle mama."

Ozzie is known for giving "the stare" when we ask him certain things. :)

I'm sorry, because I know this must've sucked to clean up. But this really made me giggle.

it actually wasn't hard at all. It dried so quickly, I just took the pipe off and hit it against the counter and out it came. I didn't expect it to be easy though, I was surprised. :)

  13. Oh Brittany! I completely understand :) The things that little boys can think of. And the (sighing) part! I sigh a lot! We have five little boys and the third one, Grady, sounds exactly like Ozzie! He will be five in January, it must be that curious age. Glad you were able to just clean it up in a snap!

  14. Oh my word. Raising creative, resourceful children is a double edged sword.

  15. This is so funny!  I have three boys and a girl.  The oldest are boys and 16 and 15.  When they were somewhere around 11, my parents gave them that stuff that when you add a little water to it, it fluffs up like snow.  It does not take much of the powder, and very little water to make ALOT of snow. One of them decided to spill that in the sink - the whole jar.  Of course, my son's reaction was to try to rinse it down the sink.  Every time the water would run, that mess would swell up and block the sink, sometimes even bubbling over onto the floor.  It was just awful!  I ended up having to let it dry for a few days and then suck all i could out with a vacuum.
