  2. Oh be careful!!! You don't even know where or how Brittany got these shoes from!!! Some of us like to give gifts to her little girls...I am one of them!!! I didn't give these shoes, but I HAVE given those girlies a lot of stuff because I want them to still have nice stuff even when they can't afford it!!! Just because they have something nice doesn't mean they have spent $40 on it!! :(

  3. Bummer to the shoe! It make me sick that you can buy $40 a pair shoes for your two year old, but yet have to live with Grandpa and Grandma because you are poor! That doesn't go hand in hand and doesn't match up! Elite taste on a soda pop budget. Will you ever learn?

Wow that was uncalled for and harsh. Very assuming of you. You do not know our "budget" nor do you truly know our taste. I thrift almost everything, not because I have to, but because I love to and feel it is the write thing to do. We do spend full price on a select few items. However these shoes were given in exchange for providing the company with professional photography. An excellent deal for both of us.

And just for the record, we don't live with Grandma and Grandpa, nor are we here because we are so poor. We are exactly where God wants us, and that required intense sacrifice.

    Brittany :):)

shame about the sweet little shoes.....

shame people who do not know you are so full of criticism.... I had a friend of mine on facebook {a real life friend btw} say to "us all" how nice the world would be if we all joined together in prayer {in whatever form that took for each and everyone}".... my response to her was to pose how wonderful the world might be of we were all just polite. Plain & simple polite..... imagine that!

    /hugs/

more lovely assumptions. Do you know what my house/yard would look like if my children didn't know how to pick things up! Ha!

I'm learning here... especially with the big tractor mowing that Grandpa drives. He's not used to having anything in the yard. :)

  16. Thank you so much for those sweet words. Some of these comments are just beyond words. I can't imagine having a life where I had enough time to sit around, read other peoples blogs and then give completely ludicrous criticism. Thank you for taking the time to speak such profound truth. I agree whole heartedly.

  17. Just rude...post your blog - we'd all love to frequent it. Must be nice to hide behind your computer being a snot-head...In person I bet your a quiet insecure mouse.

  18. Oh no! The poor little shoes! I have to admit I was scared at the beginning of this post that one of the GIRLS was run over by the lawnmower.. ;)
My mom has mowed over so many different thing over the year. Hose nozzles rarely last more than one season in their yard, she usually gets them when they are buried in the grass.

OOOH, that picture makes me want to vomit!I remember you telling me when that happened...so sorry! Hopefully you'll get more cuteness to review soon! :-) Oh, and are you poor now? Did something happen that I don't know about? I was shocked to hear so much intimate information shared from your blog readers!*grin* You are rich beyond measure in areas that most folks only dream about! Love you...

  20. Oh those TOES, oh me oh my! Such a sad, sad loss. Those are/were adorable little shoes!!

You handle the mean comments with such grace, and beauty my dear. I guess it comes with the big blog status... but isn't it weird how it is often Christians? I thought this article on CNN by Jon Acuff (Stuff Christians like) perfectly suits your situation here- people (and christians) can be total jerks online. http://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2010/06/29/my-take-why-christians-are-jerks-online/

I'm just so happy those toes weren't in the shoes when the destruction took place! ;)

  23. I think that sharil has a very valid point. It's tough for some people to see you asking for money on your blog, never knowing where any of their money went, and then seeing posts about expensive shoes, clothing, and accessories. I don't want to sound judgmental - I really don't. I realize that any money people sent you was a gift - but it's a realistic assumption that she made. Your readers only see one side of your life. When there are multiple posts about things you have "had" to give up, choices you have made, and posts asking for money from your readers, it is not outrageous to assume that you need financial help. I fully understand her position.
