it's becoming the norm... not the 12 AM part but the giggles.
It was late, I was tired, but I didn't make it to bed before the girls woke up to eat again. I brought them downstairs so I could rock in the comfy chair {that was supposed to go upstairs but doesn't fit up the stairs, i love old homes}. I was sitting there feeding them both, listening to their soft little noises and soaking up each inch of their beauty and then it hit me. The giggles... are you serious... twins... girls... ours... here... healthy... beautiful... God is so great! The giggles started small and quiet and then turned into a full blown laugh. My chest was burning but I couldn't stop, the giggles turned into tears... tears of joy. How did we become so blessed? Why us? I didn't know if we would ever have ONE girl and now we have TWO. God knew the desires of my heart and he blessed me... times two.
though they hurt I am enjoying the giggles... laughing heals right?!! {grin}
God IS good!! I love how He knows us so well, and He is so good to give us the desies of our hearts...so amazing! I am sure The sound of your laughter was a pleasing sound to the Lord! :)

I am sorry to read that Paul lost his Job. Is he working already? I hope he is. if not, you should get help from the goverment for the kids.
Good luck, and take care!
Emily
They 'are' beautiful! You are one blessed woman- 4 beautiful boys and now 2 beautiful girls. They're blessed too- to have a mommy like you! Take care and keep ppsting pictures of your gorgeous girls (and the boys too!).

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you continue to see the glipses of great Joy in Christ that are always there regarless of your circumstance.
I don't know you but I love ya stacks. (freaky I know!!) ;P

ReplyDeleteDo you think you could give us some tips on what you've learned taking photo's of your girls. I was at a friends house today taking photo's of her newborn son and they all flopped. I'm going back on Friday so I hope to take better photos.
God is good! He knows our hearts and He enjoys blessing us. Enjoy your precious gifts!
ReplyDeleteSo so precious! I love baby pics, especially little, beautiful, twin girlies!!
ReplyDeletei was set on the fact that i just knew i wouldn't ever have a girl...i had 1 boy and my sister had 3 - i just thougth there would never be a girl born to either of us. i was SO thrilled to have a daughter...i still just get amazed at her!!!
ReplyDeleteGod had to bless you with 2 girls - they would need each other to be with 4 boys (adorable boys)!!! :)
They are just precious. Congratulations again and again. I love that they sleep together. Laugh often is my motto.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! And yes, humor is healing and uplifting in my opinion ;)
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful! It sounds like your heart is overflowing!
ReplyDeleteI often get that lump in the back of my throat and surge of joy when I just stare at the kids sleeping. : )
I'm so glad you are able to enjoy them through your pain! You are so blessed :)
ReplyDeleteHow sweet and funny and just like God. He overflows our cup!

I love this! Pure joy is what came over you. It's great isn't it!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to have the girls and all the emotions that they bring :) I'm wondering if you can put a dollar bill or something next to the girls just so we can gauge their size. I'm sure they are still little but it's hard to tell in pictures. I noticed this with my children too. "I thought they were so small but they look big in this picture"... Just a thought... I'm not sure how you do it with 4 boys - I only have one, whew! - but you seem to manage well and I'm inspired by your blog :) God bless you and yours!
ReplyDeleteIt is sometimes commpletly unreal isn't it? Like you must be dreaming or something. I think that with my twins all the time, especially when they were tiny like that. It is so amanzing how God can bless you in such abundance sometimes!
ReplyDeleteThey are so sweet. I love your attitude! God is good.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you giggling!! and with excellent reason
ReplyDeleteI have a similar basket I plan to use too...good to see they both fit!
Susan :):)
I love those moments when the laughing turns to full blown tears of joy. I've experienced it myself when looking at my children. The girls are beautiful. May you have many, many more giggles with them.
ReplyDeleteBrittany, chin up! I mean it. God is the lifter of our heads. It's harder to think negative thoughts while looking up. Try it!
ReplyDeleteYou've been dealt a bad hand lately. I'm really sorry. But I bet with one look at those little miracles, it's all worth it.
I just clicked through a friend's blog and found yours...I have a 5 month old daughter after 3 sons. I share your emotion and awe at having girliness around all of a sudden.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your princesses; they are beautiful!
OK--just going through your old posts here and this brought tears to my eyes! I miss our lil' twin girlies being so little--they are 2 1/2 yrs. old now, and I miss the tandem nursings, etc., even though I hardly slept for months. Oh, now I need to go look at some pics of them when they were little! :-) elireeves at stny dot rr dot com
