... the big question ...
Can we tell them apart?
I can, can you? {grin} I will say, the first week was hard... we actually painted Nolia's finger nail so we could be sure to know who was who. After a few days I could tell them apart pretty well without looking for the painted nail. It's easier when they are together, when they are apart it's harder to be sure who you're looking at. They are most defiantly identical twins!
Baby A {Eliza} was 5 lbs. 4 1/2 oz. and Baby B {Nolia} was 5 lbs. 8 1/2 oz.
The few ounces difference is actually the biggest difference about them, Nolia's cheeks are slightly fuller.
Eliza was in the birth canal a lot longer than Nolia so her head was more compressed making her look a little smaller.
Although both the weight and head difference will likely fade away within the next few weeks. {according to their pedi}
Oh and for those who are wondering how in the world do you say Nolia...
it's Noll-ee-ah as in the beautiful Magnolia flower

ReplyDeleteWhen we were just born and for a couple weeks neither Mom or Dad could tell us apart. They had to check the strawberry birthmark I had behind my knee. That was the only way. It became easier... but she still got us mixed up if we had bonnets on.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy them!
You are truely a talented photographer and your "girls" are just precious.
ReplyDeleteEliza looks like her hair is a bit longer. My friend has twin boys and that's the only way to tell the two apart.
