26 week baby baby BELLY

and what a BELLY it is.
26 weeks
measuring 36 weeks *grin*
40 inches around
and
37 lbs. heavier

the babies are around 2 lbs. each (what the heck is up with the other 33 lbs. ha!)

baby A is still head down and baby b is STILL breech... there's still time... I hope

I had my OB appointment yesterday and everything looks good... my cervix is holding on and not getting thinner. This 'bedrest' is working I guess. Although she did say that we still have plently of time for 'strict' bedrest. I sure hope not though.

  1. You're looking awesome! Love that colour of your shirt - what's your favorite place for maternity clothes?

  2. thanks! :) Ummm.... I don't really wear maternity clothes much. That shirt is INC. I buy most of my clothes at thrift stores... love it... if I see a shirt on a rack and there are 10 of them it just bothers me. I don't want to wear what everyone else is wearing.

  3. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! How do some women manage to look so stunning pregnant?! I was not one of those women, but you are! =)

Glad the bedrest is working. Like you've said, it'll all be worth it.

I gained 40 lbs with my son and he was under 6 when he was born, so I was really wondering what the heck was up with all the extra weight! Your comment about the other 33 lbs reminded me of that. ;)

  6. Seriously I have to say the pregnant momma is gorgous...gor-gous!!!! I too swore of maternity (for the most part) after my first pregnancy and the novelty had worn off! But don't you think with 2 in there you may need some in the end??? Hang in there though....you look GREAT in "normal" clothes! Still living vicariously through you...so keep updating! Thanks

  8. Wow, I wish the thrift stores by us had clothes like that. I have had NO luck finding anything half decent. Although there are some great consignment stores around here, and I've been able to find some sweet deals lately. Have to admit, I was inspired by your blog to try places like that out!

  10. Just some encouragement... I have a friend who had twins in Dec and one was breach and the other head down. She was able to deliver both of them naturally. The head down one came first and she says they grabbed the other by the legs and pulled her out! They were 6 weeks early and 4lbs 14oz and 5lbs 2oz. I'm sure you already know this but because there are twins they will make you deliver in the OR. My friend said she didn't know that and it freaked her out so just a heads up :) Oh yeah and you look great!

  12. I had a girlfriend deliver twins too, one head down, cephalic and the other breech with no problems and she got to 38 weeks. Very healthy!!
You look wonderul and like you are taking it all in your stride (from the sofa!!)
I am one of those pregnant women that seems to just spread and need maternity trousers almost from straight away!! and tops as my boobs just expand!! so I am envious of your compact body despite the obvious growing tum~

  17. hey there. our thoughts are with you daily. Glad you are taking such good care of yourself. I had a strict talking to with Paul today:) I am sure he will tell you. Seriously though I worry that he is 'the help' these days. I can't really imagine him cooking and cleaning. But he says he is:) Hope so. I can't imagine how hard it is. I feel like I am tied down these days with Brilyn and can't do the stuff I want to do, but I just keep reminding myself it's all a stage and I will have lots of time later in life to clean my floors, but they are driving me crazy and I am hiring a cleaning girl for now. And I know when the kids are grown I won't remember my dirty floors. Had a great time with Grayson. I can tell he is a good helper. It was good to get to know 'just him' a little better and Cole loved it! I hope he had fun too. Felt so bad about the sunburn. I knew better on that one:) Take care of those babies. Can't wait to meet them.

  18. Fellow Mom of 2 yr old twins, a 5 yr old and one on the way. It's been a pleasure to read your blog and how your coping with all of that is happening in your life. Your boys are beautiful.

I had to tell my Mom's group about you because I was amazed at your life...lol! They all think I am busy...HA!

Take care and glad to hear the bedrest is working.

  19. You are looking great! And don't worry about the pounds!?! Your sustaining 3 lives so of course you are going to gain more weight! It is just a number! Your a mama of 4 you know that! And as for the breech babe I hope you let him be. I was worried for my breech babe trying acupuncture, homeopathies etc. with no movement. Finally trusting God and my body I choose to deliver naturally, at home, breech and it was a good thing I did cause he had a short cord and turning could have been detrimental. His Creator knew best and all was perfect. Your birth for these 2 will be just as perfect as the other 4, breech or not.
