So after 3 1/2 years of long distance dating we decided it was enough. We had to be together. So Paul moved up north and we were ecstatic to be together again. The parents still were not very happy about this... we weren't supposed to see each other much... but after this long we couldn't be kept apart. And we defiantly didn't stay apart, a few months later we discovered I was pregnant. We had been talking about getting married and looked at rings and talked about the when. But we weren't planning on me being pregnant at our wedding. We honestly weren't upset or worried or sorry... we were happy and we were in love and we knew God had a plan for us. We didn't have the big beautiful wedding we had talked of but it was still OUR wedding and we were FINALLY together and there was nothing anyone could do to stop us. We were free! We were growing up and we were starting a family together. It was the most amazing feeling to be able to be together day in and day out. We were together forever at last.

I am still as overly joyed to be together as I was then. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I can not imagine life without him.

  8. Thanks for sharing your love story! It must have been challenging to have the most important people in your lives (your parents and extended family) questioning your love and commitment for each other. Some of our "least-likely-to-divorce" married friends met in high school. It just goes to show that you're never too young to love!

  9. When you are supposed to be together, you just know... and when everyone tells you that you are crazy, it just makes you more determined to prove that you aren't.
We're happy for you two, and for your 4 little men. I know Amber's parents wondered about me for some of the same reasons. It took them awhile to understand that she made me a better person. She made me the man that she needed, and the man that I needed to be.

  11. Great story, you guys look so young in those pictures!! We have really young pics of my hubby and I together, too. So fun to have, since not everyone has known their spouse that long.
