there is something in my fridge....

and I don’t know what to think… I’m wondering how all those vegetables and fruits feel having an animal in their company. Seriously… there is chicken in MY fridge. I have NEVER bought chicken before and defiantly never cooked it for my family. But… I will try it. Since we cut out all soy, which meant our veggie meat I thought we should add some more protein for these growing boys… we eat a TON of beans and veggies but I still think this might be a good thing. It’s still VERY VERY WEIRD seeing that in my fridge. I’ve been vegetarian for 15 years.

Just thought you all should know!

Peace out…

  3. Can I ask why you cut out soy?

  4. Start very, very slowly - after over ten years I am incorporating some meat back into my diet. The first time it, uh, passed through - it was highly unpleasant.

Your posts are hysterical. Especially the one about and haircuts. I myself experienced a similar situation. It was as unpleasant as the above mentioned digestive experience.

  5. It's been fun catching back up with you now that I'm back in the saddle again!

Good for you for being willing to let a stranger in your frig. I, too, was a vegetarian for 6 or 7 years, but added meat--mostly chicken and fish--quite a few years ago. We still eat a ton of beans, and fish, and soy...the grossest for me at first was seeing, handling, cutting and cooking raw meat. So icky after not having done it for so long. Good luck with it, brave woman!

  6. Brittany,
I just came across your blog, but just wanted to comment on the chicken escapade. You can buy the ALL NATURAL CHICKEN that doesnt have the hormones and the antibiotics in them. I always buy that kind. We are a family of almost ALL ORGANICS. Hope you enjoy your chicken and if you need some recipes just email me. kellydixon4960@comcast.net

    Hope you enjoyed.

  7. you are brave! I've been bouncing back and forth between strict vegetarian and began for 13 years and last Christmas I cooked 2 Turkey's. Didn't eat any, but the whole process of them taking up residence in my fridge and oven was VERY strange!
