it's late. it's cold. i'm tired. {grin}
Just finished planning out our school week...
Grayson has testing 2 days this week.
I'm nervous for him & excited to see how he does.
He is brilliant, no doubt, but it will be interesting to see where he is compared to the public schools 4th grade standards.
the girls & ozzie have been a little under the weather.
today they were very clingy. 3 clingy children can be a bit tricky. {grin}
The boys & dad have been going to a 9 week bible questions study at the church. Dad stayed home tonight & I took the boys. All 3 little ones were in bed when we got home. Missed saying goodnight to them, but enjoyed coming home to a peaceful house.
Can you guess what this is...
facebook finally took down my stolen pictures. It's a relief to have them down, but now I'm left with sadness instead of anger. I can only imagine the person who did this is hurting, sad, maybe lonely. I guess I just feel sorry for them. If you're reading this, know I'm praying for you, sincerly. Thank you so much to those of you who let me know, I appriciate it.
I did start a 4 Little Men & Girly Twins facebook page. You can find it on my sidebar. {grin}

goodnight friends.
goodnight friends.
It looks like potatoes but I know it's not! This one has me stumped! **smile**
ReplyDeleteSnow ice cream? I thought at first it might be mashed cauliflower, but it looks melted in the bottom of the bowl a little. I think? I'm intrigued. :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like snow ice cream!!
ReplyDeleteI have just started homeschooling -- where do you get your testing done to see what grade level your kids are performing at?
ReplyDeleteI'd say it's either snow cream judging by recent snow pictures or maybe mashed potatoes or turnips or even cauliflower? I don't know...you've got me completely stumped :)
ReplyDeleteLooks exactly like mashed potatoes except for the little bit of liquid sitting in the bottom of the bowl. Hmmmmm, I'll have to wait until you reveal the answer :-)
ReplyDeleteI missed the facebook debacle. Can you tell us more about it?
ReplyDeleteid say kiefer? (that milk stuff u grow) or snow cream.
ReplyDeleteThat is awful that someone stole your pics. That has been a fear of mine. :(
ReplyDeletehands down I say that's snow ice cream!! I love it! I always make vanilla, but I made chocolate snow ice cream for the first time earlier this month and it was divine!!! Yummmmm. Next year.... ;)
ReplyDeletesnow cream! We just made some too!
ReplyDeleteLooks just like the snow cream we have made a few times this winter!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking it's got to be the Snow Cream you've hinted at... tell me more about that?? For a gal who lives where there is never any snow... I have no idea.
ReplyDeleteGlad FB got that issue sorted & I agree with you. The person who did it must be kinda lonely to want to live vicariously through you. :(
That's gotta be snow ice cream! YUM!
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing it's your snow ice cream, right? I missed the tidbit about your photos being stolen but I'm sorry that happened. boo.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like coconut ice cream (the stuff I am slightly addicted to). A little softer looking though. YUM!
ReplyDeleteHopefully the tests go well and he is not too far behind.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what snow ice cream looks like but it looks like my botched batch of laundry soap (which still works).
ReplyDeletewhat kind of comment is that. He actually scored in the top percentile bracket & we couldn't be happier for him. God is blessing our efforts & we are so thankful for that.
ReplyDeleteHe might have scored in the top percentile for being homeschooled but what about in comparison to a child attending a public or private school. I do not think parents can properly homeschool their children.
ReplyDeleteWhile I'm not positive, I'm pretty sure her son was taking the state assessment. The same state assessment that every student in that grade, homeschooled or public educated takes.
ReplyDeleteThere is a substantial amount (hundreds of studies) of peer reviewed, proven and published scholary research showing that parents who home school, when correctly done, their children meet/excede state standards (the same state standards that those in public/private school are measured against). While homeschool can go wrong, this is not the case here. While, everyone is intitled to their opinions, I'd suggest before you openly criticize someone's beliefs in a public forum, you do some research on the topic- it might change your opinion on said topic.
You're right Sarah, it was a state assessment. The same test given to pubic, private & homeschooled students.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! I am so happy for you and Grayson! Keep up the good work. Also if you are ever in Grand Junction shoot me an email, we would love to treat you and your family to lunch or a park visit.
ReplyDeleteI think it is very unfair to make such a broad statement like "I do not think parents can properly homeschool their children." It shows your lack of education in this subject. For the record, I do not home school my children because I feel the work load is too much for me, but some parents can do it and do it well.
ReplyDeleteI think it looks like mashed cauliflower. :)
ReplyDeleteice cream made from breast milk.
