Mmmmm...I can only imagine what that salsa tasted like!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE salsa!! I don't like guacamole, but a friend at church makes her own and it is to die for. If the kids weren't around, I would totally eat chips and salsa for lunch today! Oh well...off to find real food.

ReplyDeleteThere's little good salsa to buy in Bolivia, so this Texan family loves making our own, too! Yum!
ReplyDeleteIt just wouldn't be saturday without the random picture challenge!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear the girls are better and hope you've had some sleep.

ReplyDeletemmm salsa. As a peds nurse I totally hear you on all of the stuff. Hang in there. Saline and suction are the best treatments for RSV.

Third photo in my January 2007 archives on Flickr... a lit match.

ReplyDeleteBTW - Your button on the side bar is missing tons of info and is broken at the moment. I used the one from the post a couple of weeks ago.
Mmmm! I bet my husband wishes I made him homemade salsa for Valentine's Day. Maybe next year!
ReplyDeleteHey Brittany! Hope your girls are doing much better and that you got some rest! You've been in my prayers. Just wanted to let you know that I messed up with doing this challenge - first time I've ever participated in anything like this and I forgot to post my blog pic first. But, I fixed it and now it's up. What a fun thing to do! Thanks.... Tricia :)

Sorry went to bed early. I mowed the lawn for 3.5 hrs yesterday and was toast by last night!! Ironic that my picture is related to gardening ha ha!!
ReplyDeleteJust reading all the fun comments you have received after posting about your hospital stay. I've been on both sides of this being a health care provider and also a patient (or parent of a patient.)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter had RSV and rotovirus. My son was hospitalized at 5 weeks for an unknown viral illness for 3 days. I was sent home from the hospital while in labor because staff wanted me to labor more at home. My son was born in our entry way 4 hours later while I tried to get back to the hospital. So, yes, I know the frustration of being in your shoes. I also know it from the other end and do know a lot of dedicated hard health care workers. I also know that this is your blog, your experience, and you fighting as an advocate for your daughter is the best you can ever do. Mistakes can be made, unnecessary tests can be done, staff can get hardened to others anxieties and because of that you did best for your sick daughter. Don't feel anything otherwise. Hang in there. I'm hoping she is feeling better and that no one else is suffering from illness. Blessings.
I was wondering if some time instead of choosing a random photo by folder if it could be by theme. Say the oldest photo you have on your computer, or the furtherest you've been from home, or the most (decent) embarrassing photo of yourself or the prettiest nature photo. It would be really fun to hear the stories behind these photos.
ReplyDeleteSalsa... yum! I'm lazy and just throw everything in the food processor or blender ;)
