  11. One of my favorite dresses of Julia's is a George brand. Loved that thing. She wore it so long it became more of a shirt. :)

Looks like you have some options to chose from...

Cute pictures of a cute baby....or did you have them take turns?

  18. I think putting dresses on little girls is one of the best parts of having a girl. I love the little foot picture! Hope you find your matching dress. The only thing cuter than a little girl in a dress is 2 little girls in matching dresses!

  35. Shoulda bought TWO! I was only like $6 or $7 when I got it. The lime green one would be cute they would be sorta matching:) 6-9 mos. is the same size right? Glad to see they are able to use some stuff. I recognized some pink pj's in a recent picture too that I loved! They were so warm:)

  36. I think it would be nice to see them in something not matching. Don't forget that they are two different people

  39. Hi there, love your blog and your kids are gorgeous -- but if you don't mind I must chip in and say there's nothing wrong with dressing your girls differently, not matching all the time.

I speak from personal experience, I have a twin sister and our mother dressed us differently from early on (so of course it's what I'm used to), but I prefer it that way. Often it was different only in colour but different in some form.

Look, your girls will grow up with the 'twin' thing -- everyone will always comment on it, people will always be comparing them, they will compare each other, it's hard enough to build your own personality let alone when people treat you as half of this twin entity'.

Besides that way you can get even more cute girly outfits, why restrict yourself. (Though beware - as they get older they will likely want their own clothes - with my sister we were very protective each of 'our' clothes and would rarely if ever lend outfits to each other, part of establishing our own identity).

That said now as adults it's great as we can and do borrow each other's clothes, same size makes buying gifts (and shoes!) sooo easy, and sometimes if I buy an outfit that I love, I'll get one for my sis as well - if I can't find one in a different colour (still my first choice) well I'll get an identical one (gasp - something I would absolutely have refused to do in my younger days).

But should we both decide to wear that same outfit when meeting up then one of us will change, no way would be seen dressed identically.
Same dress is cute at 2 years old, a bit much at 12, and desperate at 22 really.

Please please don't take my comments badly, it is absolutely your choice, you're their mother, but at some point they will make their own sartorial decisions ;-) and I expect one of the first will be to dress differently.

So go for the second dress in turquoise and green, it would be so cute! But so would a completely different one as well.

  40. Brittany, I love to dress my none id girls of my trio a like. There is no way that it will go on forever but while I get to choose I love, love, love it. I have been fortunate enough to fall into a waunderful twin girl mom and her girlies out grow ahead of us so my girls have some pretty stinkin cute things... No matter what those above say as you well know these precious girls evan at this tender age have by far there very own special personality. Love ya and your babies are beautiful.

  41. Cute dress...

and to respond to "M" about the focused subject and blurry background.

two things: shallow depth of field (small f/stop like 1.4, 2.8) and certain lenses help too!

  42. My twin girls are twelve. Wow, I can't believe that. They were so cute and chubby like yours once.

I used to dress them alike but a little different. Same clothes but different color etc.

There is nothing wrong with dressing them alike. You can tell they are different people even dressed alike. Because they act so different.

To this day they pick out their own clothes and enjoy dressing alike or similiar most of the time.

    Enjoy those sweeties!

  43. People, if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all. I have four girls and I dress them the same all the time. Mostly, because it's easier for me. Less for me to think about. And yet my girls still manage to have VERY diffirent personalities. Adorable little girls.
