don't care about cheese

here's a super cute picture of the girls holding hands... like they always do
the day didn't feel complete without sharing a picture! {grin}

I know that many of you do not care about cheese or diary... and that's fine! {grin} But for those that do... i'm putting together a post about it right now.

  1. Question: I know this might sound weird, but could you do a post on how to save money when eating healthy? We have a $400 a month grocery bill limit. Please help me if you can! I am so frustrated! I read one of your posts recently where $300 in one trip and you said that was a week's worth of food. How do you do it? Help!

  3. I can't wait to hear why you don't eat cheese. I have a feeling after reading your post, cheese will be another thing that I cut out of my diet.

If people don't want to hear about cheese or dairy, then they do not have to read your post...plain & simple:0)

  6. I'll be honest. I think if we did enough research, we'd find reasons to not eat anything at all. Seriously. Who dies from eating an Oreo every once in a while? :) Much less cheese. I love cheese, and I hope I don't have to stop eating it. Love this blog...just had to share my thoughts. :)

  9. I can hear it now, hormones, Big Bad Dairy is out to get you, breast is best, it causes autism and ADHD, no other mammals drink milk past infancy. let's all strive to be like animals further down the food chain, right?

How about this? How about you share what your criteria are for something being "good for you?"

Then your readers can really see how far off base you are. You say you are a Christian but your cult food beliefs seem WAY more important to you. Where is your passion for anything other than what you put in your mouth.

What are you trying to accomplish with your food issues, longer life span? a sense of superiority? assigning meaning and importance to your life?

  14. I just went through and read all of the previous comments and it makes me so sad to see evidence of the nastiness you have mentioned before! I hope you won't let one person's rudeness hurt you! I probably won't agree with your reasons for not eating cheese but I am interested in hearing them anyways! BTW, your children are PRECIOUS!

  25. I am reading a book called The China Study. It is about a 20 year long study conducted by a man from Cornell University. In this study they found that dairy was one of the worst foods we could eat. It was linked to diabetes, heart disease, MS, and many autoimmune diseases. I think they were looking specifically at cow dairy. I think goat dairy is easier for us to digest and use but still is not the best food for us. Years ago I read a book called Don't Drink Your Milk that was interesting too. Our family feels so much better when we are dairy free. But it is really hard to be that 100%. Thanks for sharing so much about your family with us. I enjoy your blog!

  28. OOH yes I'd love to hear! I hope you found those cute lil outfits I was telling you about at Old Navy for that super deal! We love our cheese in this family but we don't get it often cause we're trying to be better at eating. I love trader Joes too..its a ways for us to get there but I love a few of their things and being on a tight budget it actually has some pretty decent priced things! Everything in moderation is the best motto! hehe

  34. Shari; We are definitely making an investment in our health.

The Lord provides ways to sustain when you stand up for your body as a holy place for God to live. That's something worth every ouch of passion and energy anyone could muster.

Everything really is a gift from him and he is VERY passionate about how we use these gifts to the benefit of his kingdom.

Thank you all for loving our family, we offer our lives as a reflection of him and value every life that it touches.

  35. I just found your blog yesterday and searched for your final pregnancy/birth stories. I can't believe all you went through! I'm glad your girls are healthy.

I found out on Friday (at my routine 20-week ultrasound) that I'm carrying identical twin girls. I'm still it total shock about it! I love looking at all of your pictures. They help it seem more real for me.
