Dork with a capital D

yeah me... you know that photo contest i had you all wrapped up in, picking a picture and such. Well... yeah.... i didn't get it submitted in time, expect I didn't realize until hours after i had submitted it. You see... we were at the hosptial with Ozzie most of the day and then you know... those other 5 kids that needed attention, food, water, ect. {grin} I am so bummed... i sent them an email and plead my case but no luck... i never heard back from them.

Why can't I get everything done on time... it's not like I have 6 kids or something. No really... kids or no kids there's no excuse, i have got to get back on time. it's getting old! And i'm really starting to feel like a dork!

Ozzie update on the post below...

  1. Oh bummer! That really stinks! :( I think you could have won. Saying that doesn't help though...sorry. :(

Oh and sorry you had such a hard day. I know that must have been so heartbreaking. I will keep paying. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

  3. Sorry that things didn't go as planned on all fronts (surgery prep, post-surgery, and contest entry).

Ozzie is still in my prayers. I hope he is back to new very soon.

    (((hugs)))

  4. You are so cute even if you are a Dork... :) I am so sorry things didn't go as planned with Ozzie... Sometimes health care "professionals" forget that although the situation is not new to them, that it is certainly new to the patient and their parents. I'm praying for Ozzie's quick healing as well as yours for the non-compassionate way you were treated!

  5. Hey! I've been following your blog for a while now! I love it and your family is so beautiful.

We had a simular experience when my daughter had surgery last year. It seems like the staff loses the "personable" touch they are supposed to have. So maybe it's not brain surgery but it's still scary (especially the first time) and we as parents need to know that they are going to treat our babies (like you said) as their own. It's hard. But what else can you do? Anyway, I'm so glad he's okay and home. :)

  6. I couldn't imagine what you must have gone through with that rude doctor. My son had surgery on Oct 31st and everyone was bend over backwards good to me. We did have to leave Carson at the door as well but our nurse that was going to be in OR with us spent some time with him before hand to get Carson prepared for him. Carson was still sad and confused but Phil looked at me and said he promised he would be with Carson every step of the way and that was reassuring to me.

Anyways, I hope he continues to heal well and you get some of your time back. I only have three kids and I too am always late. My family tells me to be somewhere at 7 and they really don't show up until 7:30 LOL So I'm used to it.

  7. Oh I'm so sorry. I was the one who questioned your timing since I live on the east coast and the contest ended at 3PM. Such a weird cut off time!

Maybe next time. Yours would have been a finalist for sure.

  11. I'm so sorry about what happened with Ozzie. I'm praying that you are all having a wonderful, calm day at the house, and that he won't even remember what happened a couple weeks from now. Littles are resilient like that, you know?

Love ya girl, and praying for you. If you need an ear, let me know. :)

  12. Just found your blog thru someone else's.

Praise God that your girls did not have to go to the NICU!

Our son,Sam was born 34 weeks 6 days and stayed in the NICU for 2 1/2 weeks and when he was 6 months old we had an unexpected surprise and an even bigger unexpected surprise when our daughter Emma entered the world 3 months early.(so they are 11 1/2months apart!)

She weighed 1lb 8oz and 13 1/2 inches long. Her stay in the NICU was almost 6 months due to some surgeries and some bad reflux issues.

We just celebrated her 1 year birthday on November 4th. she is 15lb 3 oz and 27 1/2 inches long.

We are so blessed and God had been so good to us!

    Your children are beautiful!
