1st time...
there's got to be a first time for everything and this was the first time the girls were NOT dressed alike.
It was not on purpose... I changed Eliza's diaper and then went on to change Nolia's and realized that she had leaked onto her outfit. I went and got 2 matching outfits and changed Nolia into her's but they were both READY to eat so I didn't change Eliza like I normally would. I was just thinking I would do it after they ate.
Well one thing led to another and I didn't get her changed until bedtime. I didn't like it... I don't like them not matching. It just feels wrong. Okay... I know I'm weird. I'm sure in a few months.... er.... years I'll be relaxed about it and won't dress them alike 24 hrs a day.
But for now... matching they will be!

I don't blame you one bit!! If we had twins I would do the exact same thing!
ReplyDeleteAnd baby feet/toes are the sweetest things ever...we have a 10 month old and I could smell & kiss her feet a thousand times a day :)
We also have a 13 yr. old and 8 yr. old so I'm taking the baby smells all back in as they don't really like me trying to smell their feet at their current age! lol
You're daughters, as well as your sons, are gorgeous...enjoy!

They are beautiful! I love how they snuggle :)
ReplyDeleteThey have the most adorable clothes!
ReplyDeleteI love how you dress them a like:) You only have a short time until they tell you no mommy:) Very cute girls!!
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny. Of course with those 2 I might dress them differently more often just to tell them apart! : )
ReplyDeleteThey are SO sweet together, as usual...
The truly are beautiful:) I love the photos!!
ReplyDeleteMy how they are growing, SO beautiful! I'd be the same way about the matching outfits :)))
ReplyDeletei don't think it's weird at all...i'd likely do the same thing.
ReplyDeleteThey are just beautiful Brittany! And they always look so cozy next to each other :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tarrah - they look so cozy snuggled up to one another.
ReplyDeleteI think if they could talk they would ask to be outfitted in matching clothes. They are matching in everything else - why not clothes too!! :)

Britney, I am the very same way! The only problem is the girls are most always dressed alike because I get their clothes from a mom that has twin girls but I always end up with outfits for Nate that some how cordinate and if one needs to be changed I change them all. I know I have people that think I have lost my mind but with three babies, so be it! Your girls are just as precious as the boys.
ReplyDeleteps please always forgive my spelling I am terible!
They are just so beautiful! And I love that soft, snuggly blanket they are wrapped in. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThey are soooo cute!! I would definitely dress them the same if I had twins... especially twin girls!!! SO ADORABLE!!
ReplyDeleteJessica
I have a friend who has 4 year old twin girls and they still have matching outfits. It's so cute because one will have a little different thing to the outfit to tell them apart. Like same outfit, different color or same dress with different tights, sweater. She also cut one of the girls hair a little shorter than the others to help us tell the difference between the two. I love that because I always feel bad calling them the wrong name and I want them to feel like individuals.
ReplyDeleteYour girls are growing so fast. They look so precious. Little feet. :)
they are absolutely adorable! My mom used to dress my sister and I alike all the time... well we are two years apart but still.. it was fun:)

ReplyDeleteMatching outfits or not, those are some beautiful little girls. :)
ReplyDeleteThey sure are filling out! Sorry, that's the first thing that I thought when I saw the 1st pic...
ReplyDeleteLook at those cheeks : )
I wonder what they'll want to do when they're 18 mos & up?
Take it while you can!
Awwww I love those picture they both are so adorable!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are so precious. There's nothing like a sleeping baby.....well, maybe 2 sleeping babies. Hey...still bugging you about that book I recommended: "Ready or Not, Here We Come." I guarantee you will love it.

They are so stinkin cute no matter how you dress them!
ReplyDeleteso I didnt get to log on the other day but here is some clothing hints.
ReplyDeletePedi Peds have great soft soled shoes and are so darn cute. When they are up and walking get some mooshu trainers...you can add bows to them and they squeak when they walk (squeaker comes out if mommy cant take it anymore) They also make older shoes with bows that you can switch out....too cute! Try Kickypants.com for some cute and organic stuff. If you want some cute knitted hats and sweaters I would find a cute knit shop in your area. Often they have stuff for sale and names of people who will make stuff for you. I am lucky to have a Mother in Law (MIL) that makes me lots so I am blessed in that area. There is a brand out called MUDPIE and it is so cute. Most baby boutiques have them. Not sure if you can order right from them. Baby legs rock!!! You should be able to get those from your diaper vendor. I know that www.abbyslane.com carries them.
So I hope that helps. Not dressing cute is not an option....even if they are already beautiful....the same always is fun but remember to let them each be there own little one. Grin. Happy Shopping.
Oh my goodness. They just get cuter and cuter. :) They are looking so much more filled out! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the matching. :) My 3 boys are each 2 years apart and I still love to dress them similarly. :)
Look at all the chub! Yay! :-)
ReplyDeleteI folded that blue O.N. onsie Sat. and meant to tell you how much I love it!
That's funny that if you change one, you change both, but I think it would make sense in my mind too!
ReplyDeleteSO beautiful... There's nothing wrong with dressing alike or different. I can understand the temptation to dress them alike a lot, though... I love how they rest on each other. It must be so comforting to have a twin to snuggle...
ReplyDeleteso tell us....has it been harder having twin babies than singles? you have seemed so natural and at ease with the whole thing!!=)
ReplyDeleteI had three boys in three years and I dressed them alike ALL the time. I still dress them alike if they pick out the same outfit, etc. which is often. With, twins they would be dressed alike until they said something! The babies are really filling out and getting some chub on their cheeks! Too cute! :)
ReplyDeleteOh My goodness! Those pictures are adorable! They look like perfect little dollbabies! You have such beautiful girls & take beautiful pictures of them too!
ReplyDeleteI think it is absolutly adorable how they lay up on each other like that... it has to be the sweetest thing!!!
ReplyDeleteAww...they're getting all chunky and adorable! I love it! And I love that fresh bouquet of baby toes!
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful. I love how they are starting to get chubby cheeks!!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and I am so glad I did! This has got to be one of the best looking families I have ever seen! Just adorable, even Mommy and Daddy! Congrats on your new beauties! I thought I had my hands full! WOW!
ReplyDeleteThose precious girls are beautiful :) I could look at them for hours ;)

I am sure I would be nowhere as dilligent a mom of identical twins as you are! I am not a fan of changing children who don't absolutely need it since I feel like all the necessary changes take up about 57% of my days as it is!
ReplyDeleteI have 3 yr old twin boys and I STILL dress them alike..it's so cute!:) I did the same thing.. If one would wet or soil their outfit when they were babies..BOTH had to be changed so they would match!:) Makes for much more laundry but such a small price to pay for cuteness!:)
ReplyDeleteThe twin girls I babysat in high school were always dressed in the same color: Sue wore BLUE and the other baby (can't remember her name) wore pink. Interesting huh?
ReplyDeleteLoving the pictures!
Love,
S
They look so gorgeous...
ReplyDeleteI like to dress my bigger boys similarly...it just seems to be easier on my eye...I don;t do it all the tiem and they are not dressed identically but in similar colours or styles.
I know I will be just like you when my twins come along, it kind of makes sense to have identicals dressed identically....I'll have to see...
in the mean time I love how your girls look so completely snuggly
Susan :):)
ahhh...
ReplyDeleteWhat precious little girls!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all...your family is beautiful! I have triplets, 2 identical boys and their sister. They will be 4 at the end of January and I still can't stop coordinating their outfits. I swore I'd only do it while they were babies, but...
ReplyDeleteIf I had twins I would totally want to dress them alike everyday!!
