Meet Baby A & Baby B

I FINALLY had my peri appointment today. YEAH!!!!! And oh was it AWESOME. Sitting in a dark room with your hubby watching your unborn babies move around and touch each other for over an hour.... I like! My belly has been slightly lop-sided lately, with my right side being bigger. So... I had this little thought of, oh no, what if baby b isn't growing the same as baby a. WELL... baby B is BIGGER. Not by much, only an ounce, but I should have no fear. I knew it... you know how the devil likes to plant fear if you let it in. OY!

Baby A is 1 lb. 5 oz.
Baby B is 1 lb. 6 oz.
both babies measured a bit larger than average. Way to go babies! I knew there HAD to be a reason I was so big. ha!
Baby B has slightly more amniotic fluid and SO... i'll be seeing the peri every 2 weeks from now on to make sure that nothing changes and they are growing identically. Oh and for sure they are identical... there was no sign of a fused placenta and they are FOR SURE (which we knew) sharing the same sac.

okay... now for my BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING, MIRACLE little babies...

baby A

baby B

oh and both were breech with baby B slightly transverse (side to side) and seemed to be cuddling up to baby A quite a bit. They both sucked their thumbs and or fingers during the u/s. Too cute! I am so excited to meet these little ones... do I really have to wait!?! Ahh!

and we DID not find out what they were... they were conveniently crossing their legs and moving WAY too much. However I do want to know what YOU think they are... I put a poll on the sidebar.

Do we have any chances of girls in there??? It's whatever #5 would have been... and that seemed likely to be a boy. Hmmm. 6 BOYS... WOW! What do you think??

now VOTE AWAY!

  1. It fascinates me to think that you have identical twins in there and YOU DON"T KNOW what they are. I can't venture to guess. I'm not good at being wrong. They're beautiful and lovely for sure!

  2. It could be a boy and a girl? :) God is so good, may your pregnancy continue to progress steadily. Heather

  3. Heather, they actually can't be boy girl... since they are identical. :)

  5. Oh my! Whatever they are, they are already BEAUTIFUL! I'm awful at guessing. I couldn't even get a strong guage on what I might have been incubating when I was pregnant...so I'm sure I can't make a guess for someone I've never even met in person. ;)

Good for you going for the suprise! We did it and loved it. Even at the end when they were concerned about "Peanut"'s growth and we have many, many ultrasounds. =)

Glad you had a great appointment!

  6. That must have been so amazing to see :)

They are already sooo cute and even though I'm horrible at guessing I would say Girls :)

  7. It is so unbelievably amazing watching this miracle unfold before our very eyes....thank you for sharing this journey with us Brittany!

    I gotta go with 2 boys.... :-)

I'm staying with the odds. I think if I were to have 12 more, they would ALL be boys. Some of us are just like that, I guess (my hubby says he doesn't "make" girls!) Just a gut feeling....*hee hee*....but here's to hoping I'm wrong!

  10. Hello Baby A and Baby B!!

    They are beautiful!

I have no idea as far as boy/girls go! They are adorable either way though!

  11. Congratulations, Mom! They are beautiful!!!!!

I have no guess. I am so bad at that!

  12. I'm voting for 1 of each b.c. that's what my sister has... my brother has twin girls (From what I hear, they're much harder... all that matching and choosing between matching hats and bows are a killer)

  13. Congratulations! Identical almost sounds fun. I have to go with boys -- not going to say sorry, because they are so fun, but I am sure a girl or two would be fun. I total forgot to tell you that I gave you an award. Stop by and scroll down a few posts, it is in there!! Love your blog.

  14. Well Lets see... You said they were momo right?! If that is the case, I think that most momo pregnancies are 75% girl. (BUT I had two boys already and then had twin sons as well..so go figure.) I hope that there is some pink in that belly for you! (6 sons would be a lot of testosterone! But would save on the clothes-hand me downs are always great)--- BUT I will just be praying that they are healthy babies and after all thats the most important thing right!?

Initially, I was going to guess boy and girl, but since it's one or the other, I'm going to guess... boys!

  17. Beautiful babies! What a great experience for you two to just sit and watch them in peace- they look healthy and fabulous- all good news! I do have to agree with Devin... I'm thinking they both look like boys! :) What a blessed Mama, either way. Good job cooking those babies!

  20. What great pictures! I had the 4D ultrasound with Ella and it was so awesome to see her little detailed features! So you didn't see anything? I would be worried after an hour that I would see or at least think I saw something =) I'm glad everything is going good, you look fantastic! (I'm jealous)

  21. Okay, as much as I hate to admit I really think you might be having two boys. Their little faces look like boys...I could be wrong though (50% chance anyway). They are beautiful though! Congrats again! =)

  22. So sweet!!! I think you're going to be changing your blog name to
    "6 little men" !!!!

  23. Identical! I am guessing GOD is giving you two girls. I enjoyed this post, as I do with your other posts as well. Hope you are feeling well. thanks for sharing such a beautiful thing.

  24. Those are wonderful sono pics! Your babies sound & LOOK like they are doing wonderfully!! Congrats Brittany, to you and all your family. We are excited for you and continue to pray for healthy babies and delivery!

I guessed boys but am secretly hoping for girls because I can't wait to see that shopping trip!! HA!

  25. I'm guessing girls!!! How very exciting to not know yet. Commenting on 4funboys comment... with our twin girls (who are so very NOT identical) it is easy dressing them adorably. And not to mention FUN! Sometimes one has the hat, and one the co-ordinating bow, other times we switch. Though one is in 6-12 month clothes now and one is in 12-18~ARGH. lol It's fun anyway. :o)

  26. I think one of the babes is giving a "diva" look, so I'm going with girls.

Although 6 boys would be awesome...

I love my house of little men

Prayers for a great rest of the pregnancy!

  27. I"m going for boys. I see more dimo boys than girls on a twins site I moderate, so there you have it, my guess.

  28. I could honestly cry...right now! I'm so happy for you. It's so exciting watching from the outside...now I know how crazy everyone else felt waiting for our girls to be born. Did I already say, I'm so happy for you? I am. Oh, and love the level 2's. We did that every other week from week 16-33 and then twice a week for the last month. I'm glad they're taking care of your little ones. I'm still praying for your 'same sac' babes.

  29. I am so excited for you!!! I just love the ultrasound appointment. There is just nothing as exciting as waiting to see your baby for the first time. I'm glad everything looks good and you are doing so well.
As far as the sex of the babies, I have no idea. I thought all 3 of my boys were going to be girls, so what do I know? Ha! What I want to know is what do YOU think the babies will be? Do you have any feelings one way or the other?

    ReplyDelete
  30. They are amazing! Love these ultrasound pictures. Such a clear look at your babies!

I'm going with girls. Just because!

If they are boys - the more the merrier. : )

I'll go vote on the side bar now!

  31. They are gorgeous!! Amazing how much can be seen in an ultrasound. I think I gotta go with two more boys! I say that because my family is full of 7 grandaughters with another on the way...and we thought surely this one would be a boy, but nope, another girl!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Your ultrasound pics are fabulous!!!! How cool!!!! :) As for boys or girls - man, I have NO IDEA!!!! I am dying to know, tho!!! They sure look cute in their "1st" pictures!!!! :))

  33. i just found you tonight and i'm in love with your blog. :-) so excited about your twins!

i'll have to go back through and read more about your journey...you mentioned your twins are "miracles"...all babies are but now i'm curious if there is more to that on a personal level!

i consider my daughter a miracle since she was conceived thru ivf (we only had 2 embies).

so excited to find out the gender!! are you guys going to find out at a later u/s?

  34. I voted for girls. Can't hurt right. Plus, I am saving them some clothes darn it!

  35. My heart was skipping as I read this. A thousand conratulations coming your way :)

I voted girls, I know you don't mind, take what you get etc but having three boys and one girl myself, if I was having twins I'd have to be brutally honest and say a little gender equality in the numbers would be cool.
My main vote is 'healthy' though...as I know yours is too...can't wait to find out though...I'm with you...do we really have to wait to meet them???

    Sunny blessings :)

  36. Wow, great ultrasound shots. I can't guess if they are boys or girls but I am so happy they are healthy. When we had #3, (hubby's #4 boy), we were told that statistically your chances of having the other sex child go back to 50/50 by pregnancy #5. So, you may now finally have an equal shot at having girls.
