My brother Mitchell...

First of all... I do not have any pictures of my brothers. Why is this? We're over there every Sunday...

Anyway... I was looking through my books and I found Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans. I was wondering why I had this book and where it came from when I noticed writing inside the front cover. "with love, your brother mitchell' Ah Ha! Mitchell had written a poem and it was published in this book. So I flipped through the pages to find his poem, reading a few on the way, most of which were silly and obviously written by a child. then I found Mitchells. He was 11 I think when he wrote this, it was so great I thought I would share it all with you...

The Big Day

It was a big day in the city,
a day that we all know.
A big day in the city,
a day of quite a show.

It was a big day in the city,
a day of lots of fun,
but then it happened, someone
spotted a plane over the rising sun.

This was the beginning of a disaster,
a disaster we all know,
a big disaster, a huge disaster,
one that caused quite a show.

And when it was all over,
with family members crying,
Jesus held them in his hand and said,
"Don't worry they're not dying,
they're alive...
and they can't wait until the day that you arrive

It was a big day in the city,
a day that we all know.
A big day in the city,
a day of quite a show.
