there goes the sun...

there are {some} moments lately...
when I feel the {sun} setting
setting HARD
and FAST
and {not} particularly beautiful either

my absence has been noticed
and there are reasons why...

there is a HEAVY {weight} on our family right now
and blogging about peaches & tutus & etsy finds....
seemed a {little} off.

I am REAL
and very OPTIMISTIC
I {and God} usually PLOW through this world's problems...
with a SMILE on my face
and a {light} heart.

THIS is {different}...
My heart is heavy
and my mind is confused.

BUT {regardless} of how the SUN sets
I WILL find...
beauty
{love}
JOY
&
peace

because REALLY...
what sun set of GOD'S is really that bad!?

  3. So sorry to hear that you're down. I and so many of our blog friends are going through the wringer right now...almost seems like something is in the air. Whatever the case, I know we'll all be on the up again soon. God is faithful to take care of his children. Hang in there and blessings to you and your family. <3

  7. I was struggling through some difficult and heavy things tonight and then I saw your post. It reminded me to take my focus off myself and think about and pray for others who are struggling, as you are. The difficult things our family has faced in the past has opened my eyes to the hurts so many others face and reminded me to be compassionate. I am so thankful to know the One who can walk us through all things. Praying you can find some peace in Him right now.

  9. When I wake and know the day is not going to be a good one I drag myself to my kitchen window so I can watch the sun come up behind the trees on the hill, it reminds me that my Life is in GOD'S HANDS and I LOVE HIM for cradling me through the hard times.

I am praying and keeping you all in my thoughts.

  24. Our family is also going through some weighty stuff now...but I'm learning that this is where the rubber meets the road with God. This is where He is truly revealed for the amazing God that He is, and this is where we learn true faith. We don't need anything but Him. Praying for you and yours.

  38. There are times when we JUST CANT put on a happy face...and this is ok
Times when we JUST need to say what is tearing us apart
Times when all we can do is weep and ask for help

I know its hard to do that publically sometimes, but I hope somewhere in the midst of this heaviness you have someone(s) (a tangible someone! =)) you can let your entire guard down too!!

    I am praying for you!!

  53. I haven't been on in a while... and I know I'm just one of many of your fans... but I'm wishing and hoping that your sunsets are brighter a little longer these days. I'm wishing you stronger shoulders... because you learn and grow so much more that way than when the trials get easier. Thank you for your good example of faith. You don't know me... and I don't exactly know you... but I appreciate you!

  55. We had a really rough time and problems were back to back. My sister reminded me of the Saint (Maximilian Kolbe? maybe someone else) who was in a concentration camp and had to suffer with fleas biting him terribly. He wondered why on top of everything else God would allow the fleas. BUT the soldiers did not like the fleas either and would pass over that block. So the fleas saved his life. For us it was just the same, the things that were happening to us ended up guiding us to a big decision that really changed our life still today. w/ prayers

  56. I'm so sorry that you have a heavy heart right now. I do as well. I'm told that I just need to trust in God, keep my faith, and that a Master plan in at work. It's okay to take a break, but it's also okay to feel creative with a heavy heart. I pray that it lightens.
