How we stroll...

...on the farm

We LOVE going for walks
there is something SO peaceful about taking a stroll...
around the neighborhood OR the farm.

We stroll around the farm almost every evening
...and it looks just like this...
do the colors make you smile too?
I LOVE green and blue
If you remember from back when I was preggo with the twins...
I found the bumbleride indie twin
and as SOON as I saw the seagrass colors I was HOOKED!

I know it's just a stroller
but good gracious was I in love
and now I have one
oh how blessed am I

maybe I love it so much because I ADORE the colors...
or maybe...
it's the super big canopies that actually shade the girls from the sun
maybe... it's the big tires that stroll over EVERYTHING
or maybe...
it's because since it's so easy to push that the boys can stroll their sisters around the farm too.

or maybe...
it's the colors
and they match the beautiful sky and field of beans...

or maybe...
it's because the girls LOVE their comfy spots and going for a stroll is a sure way to get some smiles!

don't they just look delighted!

and if you're wondering how we were able to bring
8 people
1 dog
things for 3 months
AND the stroller?!

It was packed tightly in the top carrier with...
my babywearing stash
scooters
diapers
and our trader joes stash!

and I am OH SO glad we brought it along

because strolling around the farm is a blast!

Thank you BUMBLERIDE you made our strolling dreams come true! {grin}

  2. Love the strollers. I would have LOVED that at Disney World. I just saw the price tag tho...don't think I can see forking that out on one. Well I WOULD, if I had it to fork out, :) So I should have said I don't have that to fork out on one, haha!

  3. I love, love my Bumbleride Indie Twin, too! I have the Koa (brown) color that they've now retired. Seagrass was my second favorite, though now I love the Vita (pink)!

  7. Can you please give away your secret for being a SAHM with your husband having trouble finding work and yet you have a $660 stroller and shop at Trader Joes?! I'm sure a lot of people want to know THAT budgeting method!!

  8. Brittany, great pix! That stoller looks amazing! I had a Bugaboo and loved it SO much, but when we had our second child I sold it and got the phil and teds (which i hate), I wish that I had seen the Bumbleride Indie then.

  9. Oh Anonymous - balls up and post under your own name. I'm a single mother who is a teacher and I have one of these. Want to know my secret? I consign items that my children have outgrown. I also knew that this stoller was an investment, would last years, and was worth my money.

  10. We are a family of five on one very low income (military). To buy our extras, we consign and clip coupons. The money that is made from those two things goes to the "luxury" items we buy. Also, from reading Brittany's blog, I have noticed that they invest their money in things for the family. I don't see her posting big purchases like fancy cars, ATV's, boats, expensive vacations, etc. Their family is entertained by the simple things in life, not by big toys. We are the same way.

I love the new pictures, Brittany!

  11. What a beautiful stroller! Love it. I too, am curious as to your words of wisdom as far as saving and finding the money to invest in such quality baby items (Bumbleride, Britax, etc). How do you make it work?

  12. My green stroller is a Joovy Ultralight. Having a good quality stoller is so important when you have a large family.

  16. Your kids are just beautiful!!! :) It's so great finding something that makes life easier and more enjoyable!!! Having babies along for the ride is great, but doing it with style and comfort... AWESOME!

  18. I am so in love with the Bumbleride. Sadly I will never have one of my own...it took all I could to convince hubby of the Phil & Teds and I had to agree to no more strollers (as much as I would love a Bumbleride...or a Bugaboo!!)

  19. Hmmmm, this is a thinker for me today. I have a double Graco stroller that we purchased for $100 on sale, but I HATE it! I wish I would have invested awhile ago in something that I love and works well....
I also echo questions (in a kind way) about how you make it all work with your money. I am sure that could be a whole other blog! (grin) Keep up the great work!

  20. I saw this stroller at the park the other day. I love it. I am really glad you linked to it because I didn't get a chance to talk to the Mom to find out what kind of stroller she had. Fabulous!

  21. To those who want to know how to save money for something like this...you do just that -- you SAVE your money.
We have Britax carseats because we feel that they are the safest carseats available. So, we save our money and plan it out. We budget very strictly and stick to it so we can get things for our families.
To the anonymous poster -- come on, grow up and use your real name. If you're going to be so rude in a comment, you could at least take responsibility for it.

  22. The girls are just so beautiful, and your so spot on with the colors! I so love all of the natural colors that are given to us by nature.

  23. balls up to what jennifer??? as one anonymous to another what she said is true. brittany constantly complains about lack of job and trusting God then showcases new items she purchased like $650. strollers and $30. shoes for infants. its her business but if you want to have a blog for all the world to see then get ready for some criticism when some of us call it like it is.

  24. I thought of a better way to word my question: What baby/kid items do you splurge on/invest in and what items do you go without? I know there is a lot of 'stuff' out there that is unnecessary; what things are important to you or are must-haves when it comes to the kiddos?
    Thanks for your time!:)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Im pretty sure the things are given to Brittany as long as she blogs about how great they are, (or not great) nothing wrong with that!

I am still trying to get Ryan to spend that much on a stroller!
    Ha!
Maybe the super cute pictures of Eliza and Nolia will convince him!

  27. Just read all of the hate junk from anons.
What in the world? Who cares what kind of stroller you have or how you bought it. That is just rude. I puffy heart you AND your nice stroller!

  33. Just comes across as braggy at times to us that are having trouble buying groceries and we cant afford that kind of stroller. How do you do it? Maybe you can eduacate us how to have the nice things too. If they gave it to you, just say it. That would be the honest way

    ReplyDelete
  34. as far as anonymous goes, who cares how she signs her question. She could use any name, would that make people happier???

  35. awesome pics...,beautiful girls!! thanks for sharing your sweet family with the world. so sorry people feel the need to be so rude.

just wanted to throw out there, that maybe the baby items are gifts...or used. one can never assume to know the budget of another from a few glimpses into their life. i actually think brittany does a very fair job of mentioning when items are gifts from the company.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Did anyone consider how much she saves using cloth diapers? For two children at the same age that is quite a savings. Not to mention, the formula and baby food. Great job of putting her priorities in order...Her children (who by the way are healthy, happy, adored and loved)-isn't that what is most important?

  37. Maybe lets open up this topic in the blog frog forum...

  38. I think in this economy people are struggling to make ends meet and any time they see someone who is struggling monetarily have pricey items that want to know how. Brittany has obviously found a way to make her blog work to allow her to have high quality items. Kudos to her, she wanted some income or exchange and she went out there and found a way to get it while raising 6 children and staying home.
I have 3 children and we have all done the stroller dance. We buy cheap, hate it, buy again and again and by the time we are done would have been ahead of the game had we bought the expensive one from the start. We have a double BOB which we spent close to $650 on with all the accessories, but it is worth every penny and I'd do it again even if I had to save and cut out things I love.
My third child goes through $200 a month in formula and diapers alone. So if you multiply that by 2, Brittany's choice to use cloth diapers and breast feed is saving her over $400 a month.
Good for you Brittany and as for anonymous, try to find the positive in things rather than wasting all your energy on negativity!

  42. Nice pics Brittany, I don't care HOW you got your stroller ;)

If I didn't like reading your blog I just plain wouldn't.....I have a very busy life, as do you...and I know 'cause we walk in each others shoes every day.

Good luck to you...and your nice stroller and your baby shoes and anything else you choose to blog about.

I think it's time for a nice, new recipe...I'm eating a lunchtime salad you posted about a while back and the baby baby weight is DROPPING of me.....any good "farmy" recipes???????

*hugs from one mother of six gorgeous children with identical twins TO ANOTHER*

  43. I also love this stroller, but like most people only could have it in my dreams. I also cloth diaper and breastfed my twins on a low, one income salary, but it still would not fly in our budget to have brand new brand name baby items. Everyone's situation is different. My husband reminds me all the time that we can't judge other people's lives and what they have because we have no idea what their circumstances are. It's obvious if you look closely that Brittany is making her blog work for her through marketing products she loves. I don't mean that in a negative way. I think it's real smart and not everyone can do it!

  45. Love the stroller, the girls are gorgeous(as are the pictures!) and who cares how you have the things you do?! That is no one else's business! If someone doesn't like it,then don't read, right?

  49. Gorgeous pictures! You have such a beautiful family.

This is my first time commenting but I felt compelled to. I'm a single, college student mom and I have a Bumbleride (Flyer in Bloom in case anyone's wondering. It's divine). I use my stroller all the time so I knew I wanted to spend more money on something that was going to last in the long run. I think Brittany was totally right in buying this stroller! These are some of the lightest double strollers, which makes sense when you have 6 kids in tow!

Don't let the jealous, mean people get you down!
