Weekly Wrap

the long forgotten Weekly Wrap...

{Grayson took this picture of me... I was pointing at Ozzie}

Spring break is almost over, I'm bummed for me and for the kids. I am ready for summer break... I can only imagine how ready the kids are. I think we had fun break though! Makes me excited about homeschool next year. {if that's what we end up deciding}

The boys started out Spring break with a sleepover at Nana's house... with cupcakes & a movie theater movie!

The next day we drove to 'meet in the middle' to visit with Paul's parents and make the 'boy transfer'...

Gavin and Vance have been in TN all week with their Nana & Papa. Riding semi trucks, bulldozers, 4-wheelers, gators and more! I'm sure they're going to come home dirty and tired... 2 signs of a fun trip!

Grayson spent some time with Papa & Uncle Mitchell here, played with friends, stayed up late, went to his favorite store & I'm sure there is more if I asked him.

We went to the ZOO yesterday... it was a beautiful day! The girls were wonderful and Ozzie and Grayson had a great time... I am so happy it's getting warm enough to start enjoying the zoo again.
************************************

We {the 5 of us} wen to the store yesterday. The girls rode in the cart for the first time. It was ADORABLE! I had both of them sitting up front with a blanket behind them and one on each side, with their doll hooked to the bar. I put the maya wrap around both of them and the back of the seat and it kept them there perfectly. It was so cute, I can not believe I didn't take a picture. I had my camera right there since we were on our way home from the Zoo. I guess I'll just have to remember next time. {grin}

****************************

The gosh darn cheese post! People!!! I have spent so much time writing, looking up links to confirm what I"m saying, reading more, writing more, ect. and then....................

I LOST IT

I didn't save it and some how notepad got closed {um... boys}

lesson learned... do not use notepad without saving. It does NOT auto recover!

When you see this post you will know why it took me SO LONG... and writting it twice. Oh My!

anyway... it's done now. It's scheduled. The post will be up any day now! Thank you for your patience {grin}

******************************

can we say
JOB
FULL TIME
PRAISE GOD

Yes, Paul is working full time now as a contractor and will be going permanent this month! It was a LONG road to get here but we are so thankful for this wonderful opportunity. Even though it has been very financially challenging the last 9 months I do feel blessed to have had Paul home so much. Through my bed rest, the accident and everything else. He has been so wonderful!

We are settling into our 'new' normal... even though it will take us some time to get back on the path. I am sure one day we will look back and it won't seem so bad, we will be able to cherish the time Paul has been able to spend with the family.... watching the girls through their newborn-ness and being with us everyday. It truly is a gift. Even though it isn't an option for him to not work {dreaming.. ha!}... I wish he was still home.

********************************

Lastly I just want to say Thank you to all of my wonderful readers, friends, commenters, family and lurkers {grin}. There are FAR MORE wonderful people out there than haters. And I praise God for that! I am leaving anonymous turned on because of that... there are more positive ones than negative and I love to hear from you!

enough said... just wanted to say Thank you to all of you!

*********************************
Everyone {who commented} seemed to love the idea of sharing more "What's for lunch" posts. I will for sure keep that up and I have more what we eat posts in the works. I love hearing how much you all love the tips, info & suggestions. It really makes all the work worth it. I love sharing with others and it is a blessing to hear how it is encouraging you all.

***********************************

I have a cloth diaper post and GIVEAWAY coming up soon! Wahooo!
plus FOUR more givaways... exciting stuff peoples! {grin}

Have a great weekend everyone!

  14. Love that picture of you!! Grayson is taking after his mommy as a great photographer. :)

    Fun post. Sounds like your spring break has been fantastic. Our spring break was this week and has not been the best - the whether has not been good, so three boys cooped up inside has equalled some frustrating times...

  17. Hi, I have been following your blog for a month or two now and though I should finally say hello!

    After experiencing Spring break from school, we are definitely ready for summer vacation as well, and are so much more convinced now that we are going to try homeschooling after this year! Let me know if you decide to go that route as well. Everyone I know has been doing it for awhile, so it would be nice to talk with another "newbie"!

    Also, congrats to your husband on his new job. :)

  18. So glad the job situation is a good situation now! (besides not having Paul home)

    Is it really sunny and warm over there?! I'm about ready to pack the family up and drive to Spring!

    Looking forward to lunch posts!

    Ella took some pictures of me after I took hers. I haven't decided if I want to post them! Was Grayson supposed to be taking a picture of Ozzie!?

    You won't regret homeschooling!

  19. Im more a lurker than a commenter but I get really protective when I hear the "not nice" comments. Didnt their Moma tell them if they cant say something noce to not say anything??
    I am so happy spring break for us is next week and I will not have to share my grandbaby with the preschool , we can just have fun.
    Im very happy your hubby got to stay home with you and experiance the girls first several months , but I can imagine how finacially difficult that was ... so congrats on the job.

  22. I'm really, really looking forward to the cloth diaper post (any insight and help and advice I can get before this baby is born is MUCH appreciated!), but also? I cannot WAIT for more lunch posts.

    Seriously, because of that, I went and googled to see if the Vegan Lunchbox blog still existed and it does. It was one of my favorites for a long time and I am sooooo happy to reconnect =)

  27. Hey there,
    This has not much to do with today's post but I'm not sure how else to ask. I am looking into cloth fitted nappies (diaper s) and was wondering if you have info in archive posts or just any info in general? Thanks

  30. Brittany, thanks so much for writing such a fun, informative, uplifting blog. I look forward to your posts.

    About homeschooling; I always forget that the boys go to school because of the way you talk about your life. Homeschooling just seems like it would already be in there! :)

    Congratulations on a full-time job. When my dd was born, dh had been laid off, so he was home for a month or more between jobs. It was great, even if it was difficult financially, so I totally know what you mean.

    Blessings!
