just a few tips

Eat your watermelon at room temp… it has 40% more lycopene and 13% more beta carotene at room temp than when the melon is ice cold.

Allow potatoes and pasta to cool after cooking… once cooled, starch in potatoes, corn and pastas crystallizes into a resistant starch that is slow burning, so sugar and insulin don’t spike. Foods rice in resistant starch seem to help burn fat up to 24 hours.

Use FULL FAT, not nonfat salad dressing… a bit of healthy fat allows your body to absorb seven time more eyesight-saving lutein than a low-fat or no-fat dressing.

Eat a handful of almonds before a fatty meal… within 20 minutes of eating almonds, the antioxidants will block the artery-stiffening effect of saturated and trans fats

Just a few tips that I found and thought I would share
