Still waiting to see you dress the girls in different outfits. They are two different people not one. I hope when they get older that they never wear identical clothes again.
Cool pic. Agree with Tessa. One of the boys grabbed the camera and snapped the shot. Or possibly trying to teach Sadie to run again... since she's getting "fat" ;P
You don't need to match when you look that good lady! HAHAHA!
Cute pic, my guess is also that certain little hands grabbed the camera and Momma was getting ready to go offer reinforcement/support should those little hands become unsteady. ;)
You tried to set the timer on the camera, but the dog got in the way of the shot of you and the girls, so you ran to recompose, but the shutter went off?
I think the image is much more interesting this way anyway! Ha!
I was totally going to say the exact same thing Lacey McKay just did! :) You were setting up the shot and running back but didn't make it in time! And Sadie... well, that's why her caption says, "Move over Sadie." :)
I've been a silent lurker - CUTE Pic!! Anonymous needs to get over themselves - Duh... "twins" who doesn't dress them the same?! My nieces are 16 years old and still LOVE to dress the same. There is plenty of time for individuality but for Pete's sake, they are babies and totally adorable!
I know it's none of my business but just wanted to lend you some support... even it is from a stranger! :) You inspire me and I love reading about your daily life - keep it up and hang in there, whatever your personal struggles may be! :)
I LOVE seeing the girls dressed alike actually! That is the joy of having twins, or one of them! :). One day they will get old enough, yes, but until then Rock On Mama! I dress my 6 yr old and 14 month old alike whenever I can! Your family is beautiful
ROFL, I agree with Lacy, I think the camera was on auto timer, but I think maybe Sadie ran past it and maybe bumped it and when you saw it about to fall....well, the pic says the rest...
and for Anonymous, really, is it hurting anything to have those two adorable girls dressed alike? if you don't like it, dont read her blog....do you have twins? I have 2 sets of twins as friends, and yes, they are different, but even now, that they are grown, the STILL LIKE TO DRESS ALIKE...so really, if it bothers you, move on. No one should come here just to judge...and why hide, why not post under your name?
I love your blog, keep it up! you are an encouragement!
I have no idea...but I do think it is a funny/adorable picture with captions. Sadie actually does not look that over weight. I think dogs are like humans and go a little overboard sometimes!
So funny! You ALL look great! How can you look at this beautiful picture and complain about the girls matching? We have 4 little boys and I dress them ALL alike quite often! They ARE different people, but are from the SAME loving family, and we don't mind letting everyone know it once in awhile! Great picture Brittany!
I think one of the boys was trying to take a picture, but was standing on something they weren't supposed to and you were running to grab him before he fell down and hurt himself.
I agree with Lacey. Good ide about using the timer while you postion or entertain the girls. I should try that more often. Silly dogs! Always have to be the center of attention.
the best part about being a parent? getting to parent YOUR kids how you feel God leads YOU. thank you for inspiring, bringing smiles, and reminding me of what really matters on a nearly daily basis.
if the only thing a person brings to the table after seeing this picture is judgment, and they have to do it under the cover of anonymous, it just isn't an opinion you need, girl!
love and blessings to you and your AMAZING family. ~jessy
Gotta say that I love the girls matching outfits. My girls are 7 and 10 and are always looking for ways to be matching. It's a girl thing. Also, it's cute. :)
Not sure what is going on but you definitely looked surprised. Cute top.
Your Girls are just Stunning! I love that you dress them the same! I dress my girls the same and they're 2 years apart. You are such a rockstar mom! This picture is such real life! My guess is that one of the boys took the camera while having food all over their hands :)
Brittany, I guess that you had the timer set and then the dog came in and sat down so you thought you'd rescue the shot but didn't quite make it in time!
I dress my twins the same sometimes as they are identical boys, sometimes I dress them differently. They will choose their own clothes when they can. At the moment it is MY choice how I dress my children {along with their Dad of course ;)} and the babies DO NOT seem to mind, so long as they are not too hot, not too cold, in a clean nappy and fed and LOVED enough they are fine.... CLOTHES do not maketh the man!!!!! I wonder if "Anonymous" has identical twins....? It is different having identicals. Let it be......... and have a good day!!!!!
I'm guessing that while one of your older boys was taking this picture, Ozzie was climbing on something he shouldn't have been on (and you were rushing to grab him!)
I have boy/girl twins that are 2 years old and I always dressed them in the same matching outfits when they were babies. One in pink the other in blue. Now they are toddlers I still try to find matching sets that have the boy version and the girl version. I love announcing to the world that they are twins. It is unique and special and something to be truly cherished. I love your blog and look forward to your posts. Michelle Queensland Australia
If you are lacking money like you say then how can you afford Pedipeds and all those matching clothes? Do your babies and you really need matching necklaces? Do you need an almost $200 Kokopax? How about scouting out thrift stores for some clothes and be real about your situation. Living on a soda pop budget and trying to rich doesn't work. Get over the matching clothes and be real about your money situation.
Hi Brittany, You were taking happy 1st birthday pictures and Sadie came and did a 'poop' right in front, well thats my guess hehehehe cracking myself up....
I don't think it matters whether you dres them a like or not, someone will always rain on your parade.... shoo you pesty pest(that was to annon)!!! gee wizz the blog nasties are making the rounds these days....
LOVE this photo! I too think you set the timer. I like it though just the way it is..so real.
And I dress my boys exactly alike. If ONE of them makes a mess of their outfit, I change BOTH. :-) I will dress them alike for as long as I can get away with it.
I love your blog and look forward to new posts always. You have a beautiful family.
you saw a picture perfect moment and were running to get your camera but somebody already had that idea in mind to try catch a picture perfect mama and hair girly girls.
@ Anonymous: I saw 50 yr old twins the other day and I asked them why they still dressed the same and they said they live so far apart that when they are together they like to dress the same because it's special and not every body can dress the same and get away with it.
I dress my fraternal twin girls the same. Why? It is often cheaper! If I find one dress for $3, I just buy two. And Pedipeds/Robeez can be found at TJ Maxx for $10 a pair. I can't buy shoes at Target for that cheap, and the quality is MUCH better.
Anonymous - Get over it! If you have twins and want to dress them differently, go ahead, but let Brittany dress her ADORABLE girls the way she wants. Last I checked, you're not their parents. What difference does it make to you anyway?
Sorry, I am pretty much a lurker, but this is ridiculous!
Find something more positive to do with your time, PLEASE, Anonymous!
Great pic Brittany! I dress my boys alike, and they are not even twins! HEHE!!! Gotta go with the majority, and say that little Ozzie has the camera, and Mom is running to save it!
Brittany, I haven't commented in a while but want you to know that I've been praying for your situation. I have twin girls just a hair younger than yours and, while I do dress mine differently, I see nothing wrong with you making the personal decision to dress them alike. It IS cute. And, I have to comment on the other anonymous poster (which, thankfully, signed her name). There are such things as rummage sales, gifts, and hand-me-downs. Who are we to judge and assume that all of these things were bought out-right? If we are here to look at your blog, we need to respect your way of living. If we don't like it, then we can easily keep blog-hopping! Just my two cents. :)
Brittany, you continue to encourage me on a daily basis. Your ways of raising your children are amazing. Keep up the wonderful job and do not let any of the negative comments bring you down. Misery loves company. May god continue to bless you and your family!!!
My guess was the tripod started falling. And you were rushing to get to it before it hit the ground.
My twin daughters are almost 13 and they still love to dress alike. They buy coordinating clothes and plan their outfits the night before. What does it hurt? Not a thing. They have their own personalities and are two totally different people.
Well...it sort of looks like Sadie is getting in position to poo and you were racing to turn off the camera?
I am the aunt of identical twin 4 year old boys and they love to dress alike. It was a sad day when one of them had to get glasses---not because of the glasses themselves, but because now they are different. The non-glasses wearing nephew wanted them, too.
To Anonymous Sherry: As it turns out the matching necklaces you are referring to were sent from my company to Brittany and her family as a review product. She has a wonderful blog with a large & eclectic following and many companies love working with blogging mama's to get the word out about products that other like-minded mama's might enjoy. I think it is easy to assume things, but we are often wrong...as is the case with your references to the matching necklaces and possible frivolous spending. It really is not our place to judge others especially when we don't have all the facts.
Just thought I'd set the record straight in this instance :)
Sherry, get over yourself! who are you to judge ANYONE! Like several have said, you can get REALLY cute things, NICE things, for a great price! TJMaxx, Ross, even Target and Walmart! So back off, if you dont want anyone throwing stones at you, dont throw them at anyone else!
Brittany, Keep up the good work! Keep on loving your children the way you do...and we, your bloggy friends, will continue to pray for what the situation is you are in! Love reading your blog and watching your kiddos grow!
Years ago, we knew twins - in their 70's - who, although they didn't live together, always showed up at church wearing the same dress. They claimed they rarely planned it - just knew what the other would wear! Everyone loved to see it. Twins have a special bond that most of us can only imagine. :) Christine
first of all, it sure does amaze me that ALL you are doing is posting this funny, well captioned photo..and SOMEHOW it brings out the drama in people!
sigh....
;)
From one mom of a ton of kids to another who has DEEPLY struggled financially, it IS no ones place to judge anything you wear or have your kids wear. My kids wear TONS of clothes either given to them or garage saled...but NO ONE would EVER know. I would assume the same to be true of you! And even if not, it is NO ONES business where you put your money
I am just here to say, BLOW IT OFF! Its not worth it unless it comes from someone who KNOWS you and LOVES you....
AND, my last thing is, HOW IN THE WORLD can you pull of wearing PJ PANTS and a SILK shirt and look SO AMAZING?!?!?!? =) I would look so stupid! =)
i LOVE that you dress your girls the same! i would too! in time they will be able to dress themselves and can wear whatever they want. what they're wearing has nothing to do with their personalities or how different they REALLY are. seriously! they're just clothes! i'm pretty sure Brittany has said before that she doesn't always dress them the same, and she does get clothes from thrift shops/hand-me-downs/ebay and it makes it hard to find matches... i'm PRETTY sure i've read that before, somewhere on here!!! sorry, but some people just make me mad!
Ozzie grabbed your camera and took a picture ... and you are running after him before he breaks it?
ReplyDeleteOn your mark, get set, GO!
ReplyDeleteI like Tessa's guess. haha!
ReplyDeleteDo you have to use the little ballerina's room? (o:
ReplyDeleteI would have guessed someone (Ozzie?) grabbed your camera!!! Good one Tessa!
ReplyDeleteStill waiting to see you dress the girls in different outfits. They are two different people not one. I hope when they get older that they never wear identical clothes again.
ReplyDeleteplaying hide~n~seek with the boys?!
ReplyDeleteCool pic. Agree with Tessa. One of the boys grabbed the camera and snapped the shot. Or possibly trying to teach Sadie to run again... since she's getting "fat" ;P

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteI dress my boys alike, and my older one personally likes it. I think it gives us a team feeling, after all, we are a team- a family!
