this one makes me smile... it's blurry but it's so sweet. My little Ozzie and me! This was at my dad's house... we were there for the weekend. I remember my dad bought the big boys fishing poles and took them fishing at the lake behind his house. This was right before we lost Buddy... he was there with us that weekend.

Rules:
1. Have fun!
2. Link Back!
I think that's about it!

Tears...

I have very sad news to share today... It's been horrible, sad, hard week. We lost our beloved dog buddy last Thursday afternoon. I didn't have the energy to sit down and write this until now... and even now I don't know what to say. We're so hurt, so sad, so mad... it hardly seem fair.

Buddy ran our the door to see 2 dogs being walked on the other side of the street. As he slowly trotted across the street a lady who was driving WAY TOO FAST (50-55) and wasn't watching the road (she said she wasn't) ran him down. It was brutal, it was wrong, it was horrible and it's an image, a sound I can't get out of my head. There was screaming from myself and the lady across the street. There were many witnesses and thankfully a man in a pickup stopped to help. His eyes... his eyes I'll never forget them. They said "i'm sorry, I love you". As it happened my friend was picking the two older boys up from school. I ran to the house to get my phone so I could tell her to stay away from the house. Gavin bless his heart saw it all happen. I took the younger two to my friends house who had the other boys and then ran to the vet. I knew what they were going to say but I had to have hope... we couldn't lose him... that's all I kept thinking. He had broken his back in multiple places, his ribs were broken and there was internal bleeding. He was beyond saving... he was parilized and in shock.I stood there and cryed over him, held his head and told him what a wonderful dog he was, he was loved, he was special, he was a GOOD dog. I said all of our names and his eyes looked at me as I said them. I don't think he felt anything... he never barked or cryed.

The boys are taking it kind of hard... they've been acting out and crying about 'silly' things. I've been sleepless laying in bed seeing and hearing it over and over again. It's so hard to see a life taken away right in front of you... so hard...

I put together a little slide show of some pictures...
