The girls are almost ONE year old {oh my!}
We received a special box in the mail on Saturday...
a box filled with pink and orange tutus
I have imagined what it would look like to see my little girls
wearing pink tutus and waddling around
with their chubby legs
and full bellies
curly hair
and pudgy feet
This image has been in my head for almost a year...
and now here we are.
My LITTLE girls
in tutus!
{pinch me!} I have GIRLS!

My dear Eliza... I am so sorry I made you sit on an old chair in the middle of a soybean field on a VERY windy day.
almost EVERY picture of Eliza she is reaching out to be picked up
what a mean mama!
{really it was only about 60 seconds!}

and my dear Nolia...I know that wind was TOO cold.
So cold that you couldn't do anything other than say "ohhhhhhhhh"
clenching your fists and kick your legs.
I'm sorry, I hope the extra snuggles on the gator ride back made it worth it!

I ADORE this picture...
even though you can see their wind blown hair
they aren't looking
and my lens had spots on it!
guess we'll just have to try again...
on a NOT so WINDY day
{are there such days in North Dakota?!}

ReplyDeleteThose pictures are ridiculously cute!! I wish I had had Ava's tutu when she was a bit smaller...when you all get back, we'll have to let all three girls put on their tutus and play ballerina together! :-)

tutu's in a soybean field is perfect! They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the tutus! The photo of the two girls is adorable. We will definitely have to plan to get together next time I'm in town (which hopefully won't be TOO far down the road, although I don't have any definite plans yet).
ReplyDeleteSorry, the splash pad is a local one, but there is an outdoor pool in your big town. (I'm trying to remember exactly where it's located....I know we used to walk to it, but I don't remember for sure where it is.) My sister takes my niece and nephew there, and she says it's still pretty cheap to get in too (was a $1 per person when we were kids). They also have a small wading pool for little, little kids, and a bigger pool with shallow/deep ends, diving boards, etc. Good for a really hot day! :-)
The tutus look so sweet on them! I love the color contrasts of the tutus, the sky, the vegetation and the rosy cheeks. Perfection! :)
ReplyDeleteSO sweet! i just LOVE that last one!
ReplyDeleteStop! They are just to sweet. The picture with both girls is amazing. I love that they are not looking at the camera but looking opposite directions. Just beautiful. You are one very blessed mama!
ReplyDeleteHeidi
So sweet!
ReplyDeleteI'm from Northern Minnesota and went to school in ND and the only days where the wind was memorable were the days when there wasn't wind! But now that I'm in the South, I miss those windy days...
ReplyDeleteDarling, Mrs Brittany!!

ReplyDeletebritt...these are GORGEOUS. seriously some of my favorite pictures ever. so, so sweet. and thanks for reminding me just how precious it is to have some many tutus prancing around our house. i mean, obviously, i CHERISH our girls. but, with 4 girls, it just slipped my mind to even think of what that would feel like to be all new again. I LOVE IT. =)
ReplyDeleteThe last picture is my favorite although all are adorable. They don't seem to be bothered by anything since they are TOGETHER sitting on the chair. :~)

ReplyDeleteOh Brittany, they are so sweet. I can totally understand why you 'made' them sit there on the seat. Great photos :)
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful! The one of Nolia made me laugh so hard. They are so adorable and poor kids the things we make them go through to see our "vision" of what the picture is supposed to look like come to life.
ReplyDeleteLord, thank you for that BEAUTIFUL sky! And for sharing hearts<3
ReplyDeleteCute but what are you going to do when they do not want to match. Don't forget they are two individuals and not one.
ReplyDeleteJust found your site from The Blog Frog. Your pictures are amazing! The soybean pics make me almost want to move to North Dakota!
ReplyDeleteToni
