I wanted to blog our road trip along the way... but since we usually made it to the hotel/motel around 1am I decided to sleep instead. A good choice I am sure! {grin}
The beginning of Day ONE was a little stressful...
we left 5 hours later than we had planned, for many reasons...
lost wallet
top carrier trouble
washing machine fiasco
needy girls
anxious boys
rain...
you get the idea, right!?!
but the fridge WAS finally emptied
the van WAS finally loaded.
everyone WAS in the car.
and we left... it was an odd feeling leaving the house behind for so long.
But we were all excited and ready for this adventure to begin!
since we were SO late leaving, we missed the chance to meet up with some bloggie friends... so sorry girls!
We DID get to meet up with Steph, her husband and Ivy.
As you can see... Ivy and the girls are absolutely adorable and had a fun time crawling around together... you know... eating rocks, flowers and skinning their toes.
It was such a treat and we are SO glad it worked out!
we hit the road and drove a couple hours to our first stop for the night. And NO that is not where we stayed! Ha! We stopped at a holiday Inn Express.
Glad you guys got there safe even with a few delays along the way! I just know you are going to have a wonderful time!!! You did an awesome job of cleaning the fridge out!!!!! I'm curious how you managed to get that done :)
ReplyDeleteYour trip sounds like so much fun. All those little things that happen along the way are what give it such personality. ENJOY!
ReplyDeleteSorry to have missed you, but hope to catch you on the way back! ;-) Steph told me how fun it was hanging out. Maybe we'll convince you to stay right here in Indiana!
