Satisfaction guaranteed. Once my neighbor and I met halfway between our houses (we lived in the country) and squeezed a whole tube of toothpaste out on the ground just for fun. Kinda the same satisfaction.
So is that a boy thing? Micah is very into smashing his toys and being destructive. I guess I have much more of that to look forward too :) It's so funny how different boys and girls are!
This post made me laugh. I am mom to 16 and 13 yr old boys. When they were younger they would always ask if they could smash things that were being thrown away. It seemed SO violent to me! As time went on I realized it is such a "boy thing!"
Smashing is totally fun, and lets off tons of steam. BUT, if you are looking for a similar, yet more educational, idea, we LOVE "take apart shop." Instead of smashing, I give my kids screwdrivers and we take apart old equiptment (phones and keyboards are great for this). We discuss what the parts do, etc. THEN smashing! But rememeber: so many fun moments can be teachable ones!!
OH yes, we love "take it apart shop" the boys have a whole shop set up just for taking apart! We're super lucky to have lots of extra computer parts and electronics to take apart from dad! : )
