It’s official… I have OUT GROWN my maternity clothes. Seriously! I still have 10 weeks give or take. I have NEVER outgrown my maternity clothes. I really don’t wear all that much maternity… but I have a nice handful of maternity pants, jeans & capris and some Old Navy maternity ribbed tanks. The tanks DO NOT cover the lower 2-3 inches of my belly and most of my pants are TOO TIGHT in the waist. I guess I’ll have to keep living in my tilly tanks and gauchos. Why is it my regular clothes are lasting longer than my maternity?? Hmmmm
It's happened...

Oh dear!!! Gotta love gauchos! :)
ReplyDeleteOh boy! Time for some new maternity pants, I think. Goodwill perhaps? I know how much you love it there. ;)
ReplyDeletegouchos will have to do, eh? i lived in them during my pregnancy...love them & they are comfortable!
ReplyDeleteoh yeah- my maternity jeans have been put away due to the fact that they were cutting off circulation! It's never happened before to me either! :)

ReplyDeleteI say get yourself one of those nifty belly bands that will cover your belly from pant to top if you need the extra coverage. But either way be proud of the big baby belly! There's two on the way!! =)
ReplyDeleteGrow babies, grow! Nice work, mama!
ReplyDeleteI wondered what people with twin pregnancies (and more!) wore. I mean - I was having that lower abdomen hanging out of shirts problem at the end of my pregnancy with ONE baby. It just seems like the maternity clothes are designed for osmebody 7 months pregnant and no larger!
ReplyDeleteI've never fit into my maternity clothing by the end of my pregnancies either. I cannot imagine carrying twins! What now?? I guess it's gauchos and oversized T-shirts for the next 10 weeks huh? Maybe your husband will let you borrow some of his tops! lol
ReplyDeleteEither way, you still look great!
BTW- thank you for your comment about my FIL. I have a feeling this next 5 months for us will be much like your pregnancy with Ozzie was with your MIL. (no mention or recognition of it at all) But you're right. All I can do is pray and hope for the best :)
One of my best friends had twins two years ago, she went to term and had big healthy 7.5 lb girls! She measured over 4.5 feet around her tummy by the end!!
ReplyDeleteI grew out of my maternity clothes with my 3rd and I only had one baby in there. The 60 lbs I gained apparently were too much for my smaller maternity clothes! Hang in there. 10 weeks will fly by.
ReplyDeleteOoohhh, that's an excitingly disturbing milestone, isn't it? Where's the picture to show us? How many pounds have you gained so far? Do you have a weight gain goal?
ReplyDeletei constantly watch your site to see your beautiful photos and then i saw this post and laughed out loud. i so remember this day when my MATERNITY clothes didn't fit! Ha! what is the world coming to, right? my sweet hubby was sent to target while i was on bedrest and got loads of XL tanks so i could survive the summer with my tanks and gauchos. thanks for all of your beautiful words and pics, i love checking in on you!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what gauchos are???? I think I may need to find out too... :):)
ReplyDeleteEven thought you pants don't fit...You are still stinkin cute!!! =)
ReplyDeleteOh my! Let that beautiful belly shine...who cares who can see it! HAHAHA. What is a tilly tank?
ReplyDeleteHopefully you're still relatively comfortable--you sure haven't complained on your blog, but that might not mean much. ;)
Hi there! I found you by way of Jamie at choosing my own.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued...........you have 4 boys and 2 babes on the way, you stay at home, your house looks gorgeous and so NEAT, you take lovely photos, you cook, I could go on and on! How do you do it!?!
Good luck with the clothes......I totally remember the last few weeks. I think I had about 2 outfits that fit that I washed every night! ha ha ha
Hang in there :)
thank goodness for summer. same thing happened to my closest friend. we were prego at the same time although she had 2 and i had one. she also ended up on bed rest and said who cares, i never leave the house anyway :)
ReplyDeleteI out grew my maternity clothes and I was only carrying one baby!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you don't have too many places to go (!)and I am sure no one cares if you wear the same thing over and over or if you are sportin' a little belly skin! Just keep it simple & comfy, right?
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain. At least it's summer and you can get away with baring a little more skin, right? Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to have to go to Kmart and pick yourself up some Moo Moo's!! ha!
ReplyDeleteDo you think you'll be able to wear those gauchos after your pregnancy?!
